With the growing demands of the organisation to have predictive analysis of the business, IT are constantly under pressure to provide confidence that the information is based on accurate and high quality data, which is coming from different source systems and multiple business processes. Testing is at the heart of everything Experior does and we offer an end-to-end test service for BI. Our consultants have a unique blend of business process knowledge, BI and Big Data expertise, together with in-depth testing experience. The team is further enhanced by one of the industry’s leading BI subject matter experts.
We know that BI testing is more than testing reports and that Big Data is at the heart of a successful BI implementation. Our specialist BI Test team work with our proprietary Big Data accelerators, including an off-the-shelf BW test library, a BI testing methodology and operating models which simplify, speed up and mitigate risk to your BI implementation.
In addition, we have a unique alternative to offshore testing in our dedicated UK-based BI test centre which provides a balance of cost effective and high quality services.
Put simply, we are the BI testing experts.
We have tested Halfords, Anglian Water, Brakes, UKPN, Homebase and Centrica OneBG BI solutions.
“As part of a global transformation programme, a global home improvements / retailer implemented BW on Hana as their strategic data warehouse and reporting tool and Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) on Hana to support their financial planning . The challenges of the project were the short timelines, large number of reports interfaces and data sources that they needed to implement, integrate and test. Working closely with the customer and partnering with SAP, our Experior BI and BPC test consultants devised an agile test strategy for BI and BPC based on their 12 years’ experience and the use of proven accelerators such as Risk based testing, which enabled the customer to scope and prioritise the BI and BPC scenarios and ensure the business critical areas were tested first as a foundation for success. Experior created re-usable test assets including scenarios and test plans, which enabled a rapid roll out of the solution to all other countries . “
“The UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier of fitted kitchens, appliances and joinery products engaged Experior to help them test a new robust reporting management mechanism. Senior managers used a number of key business indicators (KPI’s) to manage their Supply Chain. These were pulled together manually and distributed via E-mail to the business management teams, resulting in potential errors and different version of the truth. In order to automate this process and provide a single version of the truth, a non SAP BI dashboard solution reading data from the SAP BW system was implemented.
The biggest challenge faced by Experior was managing the business requirements as these changed throughout the project when users were presented with a prototype of the dashboard. Thanks to the use of an Agile management approach, Experior adjusted their test strategy and risk based testing approach to adapt to the projects changing requirements. Key to the success of the project was Experior involvement in the early stages of the project including initial scoping workshops and user demos as well as the knowledge of the customer supply chain solution. Experior worked in an agile way whereby the results of the testing were shown to users in an iterative manner, ensuring all requirements were satisfied.
Experior also left the business team with re-usable test assets, including business components and test plans that can be used for future implementations of their BI dashboard.”
